Cloning was first performed in 1885 by Hans Adolf Edward Dreisch. Dreisch cloned a sea urchin from an embryo cell. After that performance, cloning didn't become a big thing until the 1900's. In the 1900's, approximately 12 experiments were conducted by various scientists, the most famous being the cloning of the sheep "Dolly".
